The BACnet system cannot discover SB1000 or its objects
Separate device discovery, object configuration, and the Modbus source.
Check discovery and configuration
- Confirm the intended port is in BACnet mode and commissioning has ended. Save the device/point profile and allow the service to restart.
- Check the BACnet device instance for uniqueness and verify the intended network interface and UDP port. Do not use the Modbus TCP port as the BACnet port.
- Test discovery from the same IP subnet when practical. Check firewall rules for the actual BACnet UDP traffic.
- Across subnets, confirm the site's supported BACnet discovery/router arrangement with the network owner. Ordinary IP routing does not automatically forward discovery broadcasts.
- If the device is found but objects are missing, confirm points are configured and saved, then refresh/re-discover the object list in the client. Compare the configured names and object types.
A reachable web page proves neither BACnet discovery nor valid Modbus-source readings. If objects exist but values are wrong or unreliable, investigate the associated Modbus points.
Expected result
The correct BACnet device and configured objects appear in the receiving system. Provide device instance, interface/UDP port, both network locations, versions, and the exact discovery result if they do not.
